The body of this 25-kilogram amplifier is made of anodized aluminum and machined on CNC machines. Two cooling radiators are hidden behind its side walls. The facade design is composite, i.e. it is formed by the ends of the top cover and the base, as well as the inserts, between which there is a polished panel with a two-line display, two triangular input selector buttons and a stylish volume knob. A power switch made in the form of an oblong key is installed at the junction on the left side. When pressed, the LED with the company's logo located at the bottom of the front panel lights up. The kit includes a universal aluminum remote control.
Made in a classic design, the amplifier develops a power of 105 watts at a resistance load of 8 ohms. The functional equipment includes a built-in phono corrector for heads with a movable magnet, a digital-to-analog converter on a Wolfson chip and an output to headphones. The preamp section uses a circuit based on FET transistors from the top-end Rega Aethos amplifier, and Sanken transistors are installed in the output stage.
The Rega Elex Mk4 output stages operate in Class AB and provide 72 watts for each channel when operating on a load with a nominal resistance of 8 ohms and 90 Watts for 6 ohms.
This small device measures only 180 x 290 x 68 mm and weighs 2.9 kilograms, but it develops a power output of up to 30 watts per channel. Moreover, it is even equipped with a built-in phono corrector for heads with a movable magnet, which is logical given the company's specialization in the production of vinyl turntables.
The Brio Mk7 integrated amplifier offers 50 watts per channel and is equipped with a phono preamplifier for working with both moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) cartridges. But now the new product is equipped with a built-in DAC unit.
