This is an updated model of the existing EVO 300 integrated circuit, although the difference between the models is not immediately apparent. The main difference lies in the "filling". The model just presented lacks the lamps of the amplifier's terminal stages, located in the second row behind the protective grille. But the six broadband dual triodes of the 12AU7 remained in place — there are no changes here.
The PrimaLuna EVO 100 Integrated is the youngest of the integrated amplifiers, which develops a power of 2 x 40 W on EL34 lamps (or 2 x 41 W on KT88 lamps). In headphone amplifier mode, the same output stage operates, and the voltage divider lowers the signal power to an acceptable level for headphones.
This stereo power amplifier can be easily switched to mono mode using the switch on the back panel. After that, your monoblock receives another outlet outlet for a load with a nominal resistance of 2 ohms (in addition to 4 ohms and 8 ohms), and two output transformers will provide better alignment with the speakers.
The PrimaLuna EVO 300 Integrated is the second oldest integrated amplifier, producing 2 x 24 W or 2 x 42 W in ultraline mode on EL34 lamps.
