The amplifier has the functionality of a DAC based on Burr-Brown chips, the same ones used in the Halo P5. Analog low-frequency recoil regulators are provided for high- and low-level inputs. There is also a configurable high-level crossover and bypass for cinema systems on board.
The designers abandoned the conventional toroidal mains transformer in favor of an R-type core transformer, which practically eliminates its own interference radiation, and also used separate power sources for audio circuits and relay windings. Even the control triggers and mode indication LEDs are powered separately. Balanced inputs and outputs, switchable polarity of unbalanced outputs, fully remote control – this is not a complete list of properties of Parasound JC2BP.
