For its 40th anniversary, SteinMusic has released a limited edition (only 20 turntables will go on sale) of the Arco 40 Anniversary Turntable. The model uses a 10” proprietary unipivot tonearm made from a part of a violin bow and is equipped with a platter with exceptionally high resonance control characteristics – made from a wood-metal sandwich (2 mm cherry wood veneers with a 2.5 mm metal plate).
The SteinMusic Arco 40 Anniversary Turntable has a double bearing system, according to the company, this provides outstanding indicators of rotational accuracy and stability (after the motor stops, the platter will continue to rotate for another 4 minutes!).
The tonearm wiring is made from a cable crafted from over 50 year old copper. The turntable drive is belt-driven, a swiss precision motor from Maxon is used, which we work together with a silver-plated nylon belt.
The cabinet of the SteinMusic Arco 40 Anniversary Turntable is made of 25 year old laminated plywood.
