dCS Varèse Transport – the Finishing Touch to the Complete Varèse System

dCS has introduced the dCS Varèse Transport CD/SACD transport, the final component of the Varèse Music System. Together with the Varèse Core control unit, two mono Varèse DACs, and the Varèse Master Clock, they form a complete reference-level digital system.

The dCS Varèse Transport CD/SACD transport features a new chassis machined from a single block of aluminum with a forced-damping system. The optical disc drive mounts are also machined from solid aluminum, eliminating the need for additional connections or fasteners. This design ensures exceptionally accurate disc reading.

The dCS Varèse Transport connects to the Varèse Core via the proprietary dCS ACTUS digital interface using a single cable. This ensures bit-perfect digital audio signal transmission and automatic synchronization with the master clock signal via Core or Varèse Clock. Control is via the Varèse Core user interface, Varèse Remote, or the Mosaic ACTUS app.

The dCS Varèse Transport plays CDs in 16-bit/44.1 kHz format without digital signal processing (as well as SACDs in DSD format). This model is based on the same drive as the Vivaldi Transport II and Rossini Transport, but differs in its new drive mounting technology, which further reduces vibration. The dCS Varèse Transport SACD/CD transport will be available at the end of September 2025 for £35,000.
