Air Tight ATM-1 – the 2024 version of the legendary amplifier

26.12.2024 09:07 | ~1 minute read

The Japanese company Air Tight has presented the latest revision of its famous amplifier Air Tight ATM-1 (the first device was released in 1986, and in 2006 a more advanced version ATM-1s was released). The amplifier uses a push-pull circuit on 1/12AT7 (ECC81), 2/6CG7 (6FQ7) and 4/EL34 tubes.

Air Tight ATM-1 offers a power of 2 h 35 W at 1 kHz with THD < 5%, an input impedance of 100 kΩ and an input sensitivity of 700 mV at full power. The damping factor is 6.7 (1 W of power).

The Air Tight ATM-1 stereo power amplifier uses precision components - an output transformer and choke coil from Tamura (the device consumes 250 VA from the outlet). It is also worth noting the bias meter with a very precise user setting scale (the fixed bias option is also present).
