Vinnie Rossi Presented the 2nd Generation BRAMA Collection Amplifiers

The second generation of BRAMA audio equipment from Vinnie Rossi offers significant improvements in both the design of the devices and their sound quality. In total, three devices were released in the line - a preamplifier, a monoblock power amplifier and an integrated amplifier. All devices are built using a fully balanced dual mono input-to-output architecture and are equipped with only XLR commutation.

The Vinnie Rossi BRAMA Preamplifier uses a tube scheme based on a matched pair of Western Electric WE300B triodes. The device operates in pure Class A, uses a custom switch-mode power supply with patented linear Belleson super-regulated outputs and offers independent circuits for the positive and negative preamplifier voltage rails, tubes cathode heating, and control circuitry.

The Vinnie Rossi BRAMA Monoblock Power Amplifier is a high-current power amplifier that delivers up to 600 W RMS power into 4 Ohms load (the power increases linearly to 1,200 W RMS into 2 Ohms loudspeakers). The amplifier uses Class AB MOSFET output – but the most interesting thing is that such “power” is achieved using only 3 matched output devices per rail! Minimization of the signal path and innovative grounding scheme in the case of the BRAMA Monoblock Power Amplifier coexist with the ability to control even extremely complex loudspeakers. Each monoblock is equipped with a 2,400 W peak output power patented Belleson super-regulated outputs power stage.

Finally, the Vinnie Rossi BRAMA Integrated Amplifier combines the advantages of the two devices described above. The model uses a high-current amplification section (2 x 400 Watts RMS of output power into 4 Ohms load), operating in class AB based on MOSFET transistors, and a Class A preamplifier stage based on a matched pair of premium Western Electric WE300B triodes. Here, too, a proprietary switch-mode power supply with a peak power of 2,400 W patented Belleson linear super-regulated outputs is used.
