Yamaha has announced two new headphone models - the closed Yamaha YH-C3000 and the open Yamaha YH-4000.

Yamaha YH-C3000 are equipped with orthodynamic (planar magnetic) drivers operating in a closed acoustic design. The three-layer diaphragm of the speaker combines Zylon material with paper and resin. The driver design also uses smart ventilation on the back side and a patented Y-shaped reinforced damper-mesh. The earcups of the Yamaha YH-C3000 headphones are hand-made from beech and covered with black piano lacquer. The frequency response of the model is from 5 Hz to 55 kHz. The impedance of the headphones is 34 ohms at a frequency of 1 kHz, and the sensitivity is 94 dB / mW at 1 kHz.

Yamaha YH-4000 use the same orthodynamic (planar magnetic) drivers, but the housings are made of magnesium - like the top model of the company. However, unlike the flagship, the sound-absorbing filling has been removed and a special filter mesh has been added. The frequency response of the headphones is from 5 Hz to 70 kHz, the sensitivity is 97 dB / mW at 1 kHz, and the impedance is 34 Ohms at 1 kHz.

The headphones will be available from January 2026. Expected prices in the US will be $ 1,699 for the Yamaha YH-C3000 and $ 2,499 for the Yamaha YH-4000.
