The Bowers Wilkins 803 D4 is noticeably more compact than the 801 D4 or 802D 4, but it also features a number of innovations. In the three-body design, its 25mm treble speaker and 130mm midrange speaker are carefully isolated from the effects of 180mm bass drivers, thanks to the turbine "head" and a separate housing for the treble speaker made of a single piece of aluminum, without the use of stamped parts.

Thanks to a mechanically decoupled carbon dome tweeter and a carefully upgraded crossover, the 706 S3 provides exceptional detail and insight into the essence of music, while the powerful 165mm midrange/woofer with Continuum diffuser provides sufficient scale and solidity of sound for large rooms.
