Compared to the Ortofon MC Diamond on which it is based, Gryphon’s Black Diamond DLC stands out visually with its rich black DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating. The DLC-TR SLM-coated titanium used in the Black Diamond DLC was developed by Gryphon in collaboration with the Danish Institute of Technology and offers tangible sonic benefits: the speed of sound transmission and resonance of titanium is doubled from 9,000 meters per second to 18,000 meters per second. Equipped with Ortofon's proprietary Field Stabilizing Element (FSE) and Wide Range Damping (WRD) systems, the MC 90X cartridge delivers precise groove tracking and an extended frequency range. The WRD system uses a platinum disc between two rubber dampers, which optimizes resonance control and ensures linearity of the frequency response.

The JICO Clipper MM cartridge offers a modular design with maximum user flexibility - it is compatible with JICO N44-7, N44G, CRCP/MK1 replacement inserts and SHURE 44-series replacement pickup stylus, including JICO ND (Nude Diamond), SD (Synthetic Diamond), MORITA (Wood Cantilever) and SAS, as well as vintage SHURE pickup stylus.

The multi-angle body system eliminates standing waves, the cantilever here (made of boron and covered with diamond spraying) is directly installed in the body, which provides the most direct path for the signal. Working in a frequency of up to 50,000 Hz, the model has an output of 0.56 mV.

The head provides a fairly high output level and significant output impedance – but when docked with a compatible phono preamplifier, it can change your vision about vinyl.

The Miyajima-Laboratory Carbon cartridge uses a very interesting engineering design with a cantilever with an insert made of carbon nanofibers and a wooden body. With an output voltage of 0.021 mV, you'll need a very powerful phonostage, but the sound quality is impressive.

The High End Etsuro-Urushi Bordeaux is equipped with a Micro Line diamond needle with a working surface of 80 microns, fixed on a sapphire cantilever, which additionally rests on another 2.5 mm sapphire plate located inside the body. Cartridge internal impedance is 3 Ohms.

A cartridge with a high output level (1 mV) and low compliance, the EMT JSD Novel Titan MC uses silver-wound coils and beautiful titanium body. The coil core with AlNiCo mag is splitted in two parts around a cantilever made of titanium, which encloses the sapphire cantilever for diamond stylus.
